Channel Solutions
Channel solutions exists to evolve how we engage with clients over the activation of media, its contribution to business performance and how integration of capabilities and thinking are the critical element to driving growth for clients. Optimising media isn’t enough, we need to understand the eco-system that influences true business performance, and the role media plays in influencing that.

As part of Channel Solutions, there is a collective of Channel management, the activation of media, Channel Strategy, the connection between media and business performance, and Channel Development, the project managers and integrators to capabilities that exist beyond media and into the wider network and client.

The Role 

A role exists within Mindshare Channel & Solutions within a growing Programmatic specialist team. We are looking for a Programmatic Account Executive who will play an instrumental role in further developing our offering by taking ownership of the ongoing client engagement, working collaboratively with a team of Programmatic ADs, AMs and AEs to support the Business Director to implement the strategic vision of the account and team. In this role, you will also work closely with other sister agencies in the network, creative agencies, data teams, PR etc.

The Client

Since being founded in 1903 in Detroit, Ford has been one of the most popular and recognisable automotive brands in the world. It is one of WPP’s oldest and most prestigious clients, which naturally comes with opportunities and challenges in equal measure. The automotive industry is currently going through perhaps its biggest shake-up ever, with consumers and governments accelerating the move from petrol cars to EVs ever more quickly as the years go by. Ford have entrusted us to help them navigate this landscape through world class use of media, and you will be expected to play your part in that.

The Ideal Candidate

The candidate will report to the Programmatic Account Manager.  Working within the Mindshare Channels & Solutions Programmatic team, they will be integral to achieving client goals by developing and optimizing activity as part of integrated multi-channel campaigns. The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate an enthusiasm for digital media and be keen to develop a career within Programmatic. They should be able to articulate key features and benefits of Programmatic.
 

Essential Criteria

  • Analytically minded, with the ability to identify trends and patterns within data sets.
  • Proactive in improving their knowledge and capability.
  • Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively, and work as part of a team.
  • Any programming or coding knowledge would be beneficial.
  • Experience using basic features of PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel (E.g. Creating and formatting PowerPoint presentations, sorting and filtering data, creating graphs and tables).
 

Responsibilities

 
Delivering client performance
  • Complete daily performance checks to ensure campaigns are running effectively, and within budget. 
  • Learn to identify and proactively act upon budget optimizations requirements.
  • Learn how Programmatic campaigns are tracked and measured.
  • Understand what your client’s key performance indicators (KPI) are and how to monitor these. 
  • Understand the role audiences play in Programmatic targeting and campaign optimization.
  • Become confident in how to set up Programmatic campaigns, including structure, buy methods, formats, and ability to perform audience targeting research (handles, interests, demographics, keywords, retargeting, etc.)
  • Understand how Programmatic metrics interrelate and can influence each other. 
  • Identify the optimization levers available to improve campaign performance to meet your client’s KPIs. 
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of both manual and 3rd party bid management. 
  • Contribute to materials required for regular internal or client meetings. 
  • Understand the approach to preparing a media plan in response to a client’s brief.
  • Deliver client reporting and analyse campaign results under the guidance of the Account Manager, with a view to developing actionable insights.
  • Familiarize yourself with, and apply, the Mindshare Channels & Solutions Programmatic best practice in order to execute World Class campaigns.
  • Working with media owners such as Google, Amazon, etc to receive support with running Paid Media campaigns.  Opportunities to run ads on platforms like YouTube, Snap, Pinterest, and LinkedIn may also arise. Further responsibilities related to both the Agency and Role are listed below.

  • Effectively communicate with your Account Manager, Account Director, client team and client contacts regarding deadlines and delivery of work. 
  • Support the Account Manager with tasks.
  • Work effectively with the other Account Executives and Managers to share successes and knowledge. 
 
Driving our process
  • Establish an understanding of the mechanics of Programmatic.
  • Complete the necessary specialist qualification, e.g. Google DV30, GA, all relevant programmatic qualification across various DSPs.
  • Become confident in navigating the platforms required to manage Paid Media campaigns. 
  • Ensure exceptional finance management by accurately completing the Mindshare finance process for your clients, including booking and reconciling activity within deadline and address finance queries  .
